By integrating assistive technology, digital tools, and adaptive software into the learning environment, the department ensures that every student has access to personalized, engaging, and empowering educational experiences. From communication devices and learning apps to interactive platforms and accessibility tools, the department helps bridge gaps in learning, enhance independence, and unlock new possibilities for expression and achievement. Training and support are also provided to educators and families, ensuring that technology is used effectively and confidently across home, school, and community settings. By staying at the forefront of inclusive tech advancements, the SEN Technology Department champions digital equity and creates pathways for all learners to participate fully in today’s connected world. Aligned with CESC’s mission, the department transforms learning through thoughtful, inclusive, and forward-thinking technological solutions.

Department Chair

Professor Emmeallio Daniels, MSEd

Professor Emmeallio F. Daniels, MSEd is a Jamaican-born STEAM educator, visionary leader, and advocate for educational equity. With a multidisciplinary background in robotics, engineering, computer science, visual arts, and the performing arts, he brings a dynamic and inclusive approach to technology education. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and a Master’s in Educational Technology, Progressive Leadership, and Curriculum & Instruction from LaGuardia Community College and Adelphi University.

At just 28, Professor Daniels has already emerged as a force in secondary education, driven by a belief in mutual intellectual growth between educators and students. He is a proud member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and other prestigious organizations dedicated to leadership and STEM advancement.

As head of the SEN Technology Department at CESC, Professor Daniels merges innovation with accessibility to inspire a new generation of learners and bridge opportunity gaps through transformative STEAM education.
